At The Kringle Cause, we believe integrity is the true magic behind the mission. Whether we're crafting gifts for children in need or inviting others to support our work, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in every decision, partnership, and action.

1. Core Principles

All members of The Kringle Cause—staff, volunteers, E.L.F.s, board members, and partners—are expected to act in alignment with the following values:

  • Integrity: We do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
  • Transparency: We are open, honest, and accountable in our operations and communication.
  • Respect: We treat all individuals with dignity and kindness, regardless of ability, background, or belief.
  • Stewardship: We manage the resources entrusted to us with care and responsibility.
  • Service: We lead with compassion, always putting mission over ego.

2. Ethical Conduct Guidelines

All representatives of The Kringle Cause are expected to:

  • Avoid any conduct that could damage the reputation or mission of the organization
  • Be truthful in all fundraising and outreach efforts
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries and respectful interactions with all program participants, including children and individuals with disabilities
  • Avoid favoritism or personal bias in hiring, training, or services
  • Speak up if they witness or suspect unethical or unsafe behavior

3. Conflicts of Interest

All individuals with decision-making power (including board members and leadership) must avoid situations in which personal, financial, or professional interests could conflict with the best interests of The Kringle Cause.
Any potential conflicts must be disclosed as outlined in our Conflict of Interest Policy (see next document).

4. Reporting & Accountability

Anyone who witnesses unethical behavior or violations of this policy is encouraged to report it confidentially through our Whistleblower Policy process.
We are committed to ensuring that no one who reports a concern in good faith will face retaliation.

5. Living Our Values

Our mission is rooted in love, trust, and cheerful service. We expect every person affiliated with The Kringle Cause to model those values—whether wearing an apron in the workshop, a badge in the office, or a red suit in the community.

When we act with ethics, we build something far greater than toys—we build trust.
